My name is Sean P. Funk, B.Sc., Geol.I.T. and I am a graduate student, currently studying geochemistry, experimental
petrology and igneous petrology of lamprophyres (exotic igneous rocks). I am a science nerd, and have an odd love for mathematics,
and physics. My goal is to eventually make it as a geophysicists, and become a professor.
In my free time (I have a lot of free time), I write various novels from various science fiction series. My love-affair of
story-writing started when I was very young, and has never really stopped.
I've written novels that include (but not exclusive to) Star Wars, Resident Evil, and Aliens vs. Predator (my newest novel
creation, AVP: Divided Loyalties, is available to the right). Some other ideas for stories are in the mix, including a Terminator
novel depicting the Future War in a different light (and therefore different timeline), another involving a re-imagining of
AVP: Requiem, and lastly, a re-imagining of Spiderman 3 and 4.
I have written some original short stories, most of them involving various hypothetical scenarios of World War Three, or some
other variation on that theme.
Overall, though, I most enjoy writing about series or sagas that have been already established, because it seems more interesting
dealing with characters and situations that you already have familiarity with. Action mixed with a touch of philosophy is
always a great deal of fun to right; I really enjoy writing philosophically challenging stories. Those are the stories that
get discussed and pondered and argued about. That's where the real joy in writing comes from.
